The Scole Inn, Diss
Hold your reception at The Scole Inn and you’ll be sharing in the company of both Kings and thieves! This 17th Century coaching inn once provided lodgings for King Charles II and the highwayman John Belcher. Based in the pretty town of Diss and overlooking the beautiful East Anglian Countryside the Scole Inn exudes olde world romance.

The Inn is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and has a choice of two dining rooms for your reception. The Inn offers guests a choice of 23 en suite rooms, some with four-poster beds and 12 with working open fireplaces. As a special treat the bride and groom are even greeted with a champagne breakfast the day after their wedding.
The Rutland Arms Hotel, Newmarket
Set in the historic horseracing town of Newmarket and fully licensed for civil ceremonies, the Rutland Arms Hotel is built around a historic cobbled courtyard dating from the reign of Charles II (c.1651). The distinctive and attractive building retains many original period features all of which add to the hotels charm and character.

The hotels Wolverton Room can cater for 50-120 guests and a dedicated team will see to all your needs personally. The hotel also has 46 stylish en suite bedrooms that are individually furnished and perfect for an intimate weekend away.
The George and Dragon Inn, Long Melford
Behind it’s traditional façade The George and Dragon Inn boasts a luxury setting. Chocolate leather snuggles up comfortably next to fresh white linen and exposed brickwork creating an altogether modern feel. The Inn is set in the pretty village of Long Melford, prides itself on warm service and can host your Wedding guests in 10 en suite bedrooms.

The elegant dining room seats up to 36 for a wedding reception, whilst the garden room seats a slightly smaller party of 24 guests. In summer the large courtyard, complete with heated parasol, offers a great alfresco experience. And not to be forgotten is our heated dining pavilion which seats a further eight in style!
The Fox and Goose, Fressingfield
The Fox and Goose is a foodies dream Wedding reception venue! The fine country pub and restaurant holds two AA Rosettes and has been featured in Michelin, Harden's and Which food guides. And what’s more a delicious three-course wedding feast starts from only £30 per person!

Set in the North Suffolk village of Fressingfield, this wedding reception venue has three rooms that can cater for private functions. The first floor dining room – seating a maximum of 38 guests, the ground floor dining room – for a maximum of 18 guests, and the pub restaurant – seating a maximum of 25. Special menus can be organised at varying prices.
The Black Boy Public House, Bury St Edmunds
Conveniently located in the heart of the medieval town of Bury St Edmunds, and just 15 minutes walk from the railway station, The Black Boy is easy for you and your guests to travel to. The bar sells the finest cask conditioned ales along with a large selection of beers, lagers and spirits, and traditional pub food created to your requirements is available. For summer receptions, the patio is a wonderful spot and looks lovely in photographs.
